I must say I thought James Hunter was absolutely phenomenal on Jools Holland and really showed up Bands more than half his age. What is it saying really about the business that this guy has to busk on the streets of London for half his adult life before he gets any recognition.
Not than keen on his recorded stuff, after all, it is a facsimile of 50’s and 60’s classic dancehall and soul, but he is absolutely stunning live, what can I say, everyone go out and see him.
He is on tour in the USA, so get out from your comfy chair over there and go and scream some. If only w****** like Sony/BMG could have some foresight to pick up on artists like this we wouldn’t be overloaded with the most uninspiring Indie and R&B rubbish at the minute.. What are you doing Jed ?, don’t trust Indie boy, he knoweth nothing ! This guy is going to be huge, just look at his Myspace site, even Jimi Hendrix likes him ! The unfort' thing is Jed will probably just buy-out Rounder Records just to get his hands on him and get some credibility.
